Nunu Baby Muzik

An artist site where the navigation asks what you came for instead of making you hunt — with a mailing list, booking requests and an analytics dashboard behind it.

Please note: A business I own and operate.

The story

What problem existed, and what we built.

The problem

Artist sites are usually a menu of pages and a hope that visitors find the thing they came for. Meanwhile the audience relationship lives on platforms the artist doesn't control.

What I built

An intent-driven entry point that asks what the visitor is looking for and takes them there, backed by a real platform: a double opt-in mailing list, a booking request path, and an analytics dashboard measuring the streaming funnel.

What it had to achieve

  • Ask visitors what they want rather than making them guess
  • Own the audience relationship

The customer's experience

A visitor is asked what brought them here and is taken straight to it — music, a release, visuals, or booking.

What customers can do

  • An intent-driven entry point instead of a navigation menu
  • Release pages with audio previews
  • A booking request path
  • Mailing list signup with double opt-in

The owner & staff experience

A dashboard showing what the audience actually does, and a subscriber list the artist owns.

What the business can do

  • An admin dashboard measuring the streaming and engagement funnel
  • Subscriber management
  • Automated release and video publishing

How it works

The system, explained without the jargon.

If a technical term is needed below, it's explained right where it appears.

An owned mailing list

Double opt-in subscribers live in the artist's own database, not inside a platform that can change its terms.

Design decisions

The choices that shaped it — and why.

The menu was retired

A navigation menu asks the visitor to translate what they want into your site structure. Asking them directly is fewer steps and tells you what people actually came for.

The face is never shown

A brand constraint held throughout: the pendant mascot carries the identity instead of a portrait.

How it was built

Development process

  1. 1Built automated release and video publishing
  2. 2Added the music lane with audio previews
  3. 3Replaced the navigation menu with the intent-driven entry point
  4. 4Added verified chart placements to release pages
  5. 5Built the engagement funnel and admin analytics

Status & outcome

Outcome
